UKSOUNDTV.COM (UKS TV) is a youth run broadband channel, broadcasting from Bow, East London. Looking at UK underground music, emergent technology and local issues, UKS TV is the first broadband channel managed, produced, directed and crewed by a team of young people. UKS TV is a platform where young people can learn skills in – film, music and TV production, content development, design and technology.

Trainee positions

UKS TV is looking for trainees who will work toward the Arts Award Silver and Bronze Qualification. This is part of the National Qualifications Framework and is accredited by QCA.   Trainees will need to show an interest in art, media and technology. Arts awards are flexible qualifications, which can be tailored to suit the interests of individual students and focus on developing leadership skills in the creative/media sector.

Trainees need to be:

*Age of 16 – 25

*Unemployed or economically inactive

*Live in London (either based in East London or with links to the area)

Television and Young People (TVYP) is the educational arm of the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival and is the UK´s leading forum for young people aspiring to work in television. If you are aged 18+ and have a passion to work in the television industry, you could be one of the 150 delegates selected to attend five days of masterclasses, workshops, career surgeries and social events.
